I know that in the present political and financial climate, it’s very difficult for artists to maintain (let alone find) work that adequately compensates them for their labour.

If you are requiring of short-term funding on a micro level, or more long-term sustained giving to help finance your work, I run a free service that matches you with the right Patron to help support your craft.

I have a network of thousands of potential patrons/donors to your projects who have demonstrated a genuinely positive, progressive charitable intent in their actions, on a long-term basis who will be politically aligned with your goals.

Fill out the form below, or email me at rahim@viciousminuteshour.com. Tell me everything you can about what you’re working on, and what you need the funds for, be it teaching smaller workshops or staging longer work. Tell me the details of what you want and don’t want mentioned in your messaging.

I will contact individuals in my database who I believe will be strong candidates to support your work, and make the introduction.

These will not be general inquiries through email - I prefer personal correspondence & establishing relationships between you & potential patrons & we can’t do that by sending out form messaging.

Once they’ve provided their consent for you to contact them to discuss potentially funding your work, I’ll send you all the details of our correspondence & the rest is left up to you. It’s also possible they’ll decide to support your work without a conversation between the two of you so please make sure you have a method for accepting funds.

I’ve raised over seven figures in contributions to various organizations just by knocking on doors & cold calling. I’ve acquired five-figure contributions with strangers during a cold call phone conversation or first-time meetings over a cup of coffee. I have donor propect lists that I’ve created that have funded projects like the one you see here (Jolicoeur)

I’m very good at what I do & friendly in the persuasion, not aggressive. I’m gentle but firm in the approach & if I believe in the work you’re doing, we’ll succeed.

I’ve considered what it means to do this labour for free, but it would be a shame to have acquired all of these skills over the years and to not use them to benefit others.

If after a time an opportunity arises and this endeavor is working well, I’m absolutely open to a discussion for some kind of employment, but for now, this feels right.

You don’t pay, I don’t accept funds on your behalf, so no money is directed towards me, only you.

Consider it a service that doesn’t expect a favour in return. In the present world, now more than ever, we need to look after each other & this is a good way for me, to help.
