The Body I Was

by Taylor J Johnson

I am in a
deep
sympathy
with the body
I was.  Your softness
Your surprise in the way
You were touched
Prying eyes of a
Gentleman’s
Hand

I would feel a
sympathy
for the scar around
Above
Below
What is a meridian

But this is the mark of
Lovers.
It’s laughter waiting for us
Naked
Fumbling around in the dark
At what is new & no longer was
Undiscovered.
