Isabelle Seiler was born in Philadelphia where she received her early dance education at Philadelphia Dance Theatre. At age 15 she moved to New York to accept an invitation to study with the JKO School of American Ballet Theatre. Upon graduating she continued her training in Toronto with Canada's National Ballet School. Isabelle has danced professionally with such international companies as Dresden Semperoper Ballett, Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montreal and Tivoli Ballet Theatre. Since returning to New York last year, she has been exploring her longtime interest in the integration of dance and the visual arts as a performer in collaborative works. Currently enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she intends to bring choreography into the fashion world.
Having trained in classical ballet technique, she explores her interest in using that refined training to bring grace to distorted shapes and lines. Using performance moments that evoke transitions and emotions in everyday life, she seeks to offer the audience a chance to discover, identify with and find balance in that beauty and imperfection.
