How It Works.
The publications listed are in random order. On desktop, on the left is a screenshot of the submissions page of a publication website. On the right is the name of the publication & information as to the next submission deadlines. Below is a button where if you click on it, a new window opens up directly to the submissions page (On your phone, the information is presented as screenshot, name & dates & a button to visit the website)
The information will be updated weekly, every Monday. So if a publication is not accepting submissions for one week but is the next, you’ll see that reflected here.
We will also be updating & adding to the list at the beginning of each month.

Arc Poetry Magazine
Arc has two reading periods:
Submissions received from April 1 to July 31 will be read for the Winter issue.
Submissions received from September 1 to December 30 will be read for the Summer issue.
Room Magazine
Issue 46.3 Deadline is January 5th, 2022.
Canthius
Submissions are now CLOSED. Awaiting word for next submissions window.
Augur Magazine
Augur Magazine is currently closed to submissions.
Existere
Existere publishes biannually. They offer a Fall/Winter issue and a Spring/Summer issue. Submissions are open.
The Antigonish Review
Submissions are open.
The /tƐmz/ Review
Accepting submissions for Issue 21 until October 31, 2022.
Grain Magazine
Grain has a nine-month submission period that runs from September 15th to June 15th. Manuscripts received outside of this window will be automatically rejected.
Prairie Fire
Prairie Fire is currently accepting snail mail submissions only. Exceptions: They will make an exception for people who live in parts of the world where mail service is not reliable, if mailing a submission is cost prohibitive or mobility is an issue. In these cases, they ask that you email them first at prifre@prairieifre.ca before submitting.
filling Station
Fiction and Poetry submissions are closed as of Aug. 1st 2022 and will be reopened in Fall/Winter.
Contemporary Verse 2
CV2 has two reading periods for general submissions, running from September 1 to November 30, and February 1 to May 31. CV2 does not accept general submissions from December 1 to January 31, and June 1 to August 31.
The Capilano Review
There are currently no open calls for submissions.
The Puritan
The Puritan seeks submissions all year round, from anywhere in the world.
Minola Review
Poetry, Fiction & CNF currently closed to submissions, reviews are open.
Briarpatch Magazine
Submissions are open.

Awaiting update on when submissions will open for issue 45.
Brick
Submissions will open again on April 1st, 2023.

Literary Review of Canada
2023 Poetry: From November 1, 2022, to March 1, 2023. Submissions will only be considered during this period.
Reviews, Essays & Art - Email them with specific review proposals, essay pitches, or general queries.
