Alicia Fotino was born in New York City and began her professional ballet training with Valentina Kozlova. She continued her education with Edward Ellison, Fabrice Herrault, and Karin Averty. During this time, she performed in various Galas in the USA and Europe, won the Grand Prix at the Youth America Grand Prix, the Silver medal at the Boston International Ballet Competition, the Bronze medal at the Tanzolymp International Dance Festival, and was a finalist at the World Ballet Competition. At age 17, she was invited to study at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany, where she graduated. While in Germany, she performed in the Corps de Ballet of the Stuttgart Ballet and in principal roles with the school. Most recently, she worked with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal for their Fall/Winter Season in 2019. Since returning to New York, she received her bachelor’s degree at New York University with a concentration in Media and Film. She continues to explore her interests in collaborative work and combining dance with other forms of visual media.
